iPhone Year 1
I got my iPhone around a year ago and I have to say I think it is still the best phone ever. That being said I do not think AT&T's coverage is very good. If I just needed a phone for calling I would go with Verizon but I don't think I wouldn't bother with one of their touch screen phones. The iPhone is so much more than a touch screen. The touch is a nice feature since it eliminates the need for lame plastic buttons and allows for more advanced interface design.
What really makes the phone so good is that Apple makes the interface. Unlike all the other phones out there the team at Apple is very good at this. I am sure other designers like myself have been saying for years that these phone interfaces are extremely laking in quality and ease of use. It's like they didn't care. Apple has forced the other companies like Samsung and Motorola to step it up. So, next time you are about to buy a phone that is not an iPhone and you think it looks good, thank Apple for advancing the industry and making them care about interface design. Now if only the DVR and cable companies would pay attention to the AppleTV.

Wife Switches To Apple
Sheena, my wife, got a new Mac Book Pro on Saturday. It's a great machine and I really like the multi-touch track pad. Maybe I need one. Hmmmmm.

Apple Tv Take 2? The Two Weeks Are Up!
Dear Apple, where is my update? Do you know how many times I have selected "Update Software". Jobs said two weeks, let's have it!
UPDATE: Apple announced it will be a week or two more before the Apple TV update is released. They said this on Jan. 30, 2008. That places the release of the update someplace around Fed. 6 to 13.
